How About a Gwent Multiplayer Mode for The Witcher 3?

The Witcher 3 should feature Gwent multiplayer mode, a humble request to CD Projekt RED from a fan.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is without a doubt game of the year material. It is the most addictive game I have played in a long time. Every element of this title is painstakingly made, and I have newfound respect for CD Projekt RED.

I bought Witcher 3 on release, and it wasn’t until yesterday I was able to finish the game, and by finish I mean do everything. I played this game for months and loved every minute of it. The thing that keeps you engaged the most are the side activities.

You can do side quests, take on Witcher contracts etc; and at no point you’ll feel bored or not interested in what’s happening on-screen. The Witcher 3 features the most well made side-activities I have seen in any videogame to date.

The most amazing part is that it is only single-player and yet, I have spent more time playing this game than any other multiplayer heavy title.

Games these days use multiplayer as means to keep players engaged and give them something to hold on to, after the campaign is complete.

But Witcher 3, is a completely different story.

CD Projekt RED crafted a world that is so unique, vibrant, and it truly feels alive. To me, this title is perfect the way it is, but I recently come across an idea that can make Witcher 3 even better.

Like I mentioned, I played the game for months and a huge amount of time I spent was doing side activities, especially playing Gwent.

It’s an unbelievably addictive card game, and I couldn’t help but travel all around the maps in Witcher 3, in search of new cards. Playing against NPCs is all fun and they do present a challenge as you move up the ranks. However, don’t you think it would be fun to play Gwent against other players?

I humbly request CD Projekt RED to consider a multiplayer mode for The Witcher 3, where players will take on each other in a game of Gwent. It will be a perfect addition to the game, one that may cause engagement rate to skyrocket.

In addition to Gwent PvP, I feel a co-op battle mode will also be fun, where friends come together with their cards and take on the other team. Of course, the idea had to be refined by CD Projekt RED, but I see a lot of potential in multiplayer here.

Do you think a Gwent multiplayer mode will work in The Witcher 3? How do you like the idea? Let me know in the comment below.
