PES 2016 Won’t Be 1080p on Xbox One, But Will You Be Able to Tell the Difference?

While it was believed that PES 2016 would be 1080p/60FPS it now appears that this will not be the case. Adam Bhatti the PES European Product Manager has clarified the situation on Twitter.

He then went onto further clarify what resolutions other formats would be running the game at:

Even with these changes one thing he made clear was that he felt confident that people wouldn’t be able to tell the difference. I’m sure when people are playing the demo they’ll be looking to see if this is the case. As usual with resolution issues, if gamers know that it isn’t 1080p they do tend to notice. Even if graphically it looks impressive, it will be used as further evidence that Playstation 4 is the more superior console.

PES 2016 is due out September 15 for Playstation 4, Playstation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC. With early opinions seemingly being that people are impressed with the gameplay, it will be interesting to see how the resolution issues will affect people’s opinions of the game.

After stating that they expected the game to be full 1080p, there is obviously going to be some disappointment from Xbox One owning fans.
