Octodad Dadliest Catch Hits Xbox One on Aug 26; Kinect Controls Teased
Having been originally released to PC and PlayStation 4 in 2014, Octodad Dadliest Catch is going to be the new catch on Xbox One in less than a week.
We have known of the game’s release to Xbox One but the developers had not shared an official date for it, which has now been revealed to be August 26, 2015.
You are going to be able to get your hands on the game for $15 which isn’t much considering it is a successful independent game that has already been released to PS4, PS Vita, Windows, OS X as well as Linux.
However, if you are not satisfied with that price let me tell you that those 15 bucks also going to bring you all the DLC that has been released for the game since launch. Here’s what developers Young Horses has to say on the matter:
Today we’re pleased to say you’ll be able to get your hands on the premier fatherhood simulator on Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft via the ID@Xbox self-publishing program as a digital title next week. On August 26th for $14.99 you’ll be able to get Octodad Dadliest Catch on Xbox One including all of the ‘Shorts’ DLC included from the start. We’re also looking into possible alternate control schemes unique to Xbox One that we’ll talk about at a later date.
Note that last line? The one that talks about alternate control schemes? Now why would they go through the trouble of phrasing it like that when we all know it most probably means Kinect based controls?
Will you buy Octodad Dadliest Catch?
