Bugatti Shows Futuristic Car Design for Vision Gran Turismo

Bugatti is the latest sports car manufacturer company to be adding their concept vehicle into the Vision Gran Turismo program for Gran Turismo 6. Their concept car is to be presented at the International Motor Show in Frankfurt from September 12 to 17.

The developers of one of the fastest conventional land vehicles, the Veyron, have released the first image of their futuristic and strange concept vehicle.

Creators Polyphony Digital expressed their joy of Bugatti going out to create such a design for Vision Gran Turismo, with president Kazunori Yamauchi praising the sports car manufacturer.

“I was thrilled and surprised that such a revered, traditional brand as Bugatti shares my passion and vision for ‘Gran Turismo’. Bugatti has developed an exciting concept for Vision Gran Turismo, and naturally it is a high-performance vehicle with a fascinating design. The level of attention to detail shown in the technical implementation by Bugatti has really impressed me.”

Head of the Bugatti design team Achim Anscheidt suggested that this designed wasn’t just a fantasy product created for a game, but one that could be used in real life and driven on a real race circuit.

“With the Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo, we have not developed a fantasy product of the type which is normally seen in this category of the game. We had the clear goal of developing a vehicle which could also be driven on a real race circuit if it left the virtual world. ‘Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo’ stands for authenticity.”

Vision Gran Turismo was a program launched by Polyphony Digital in celebration of the 15th anniversary of the racing simulator series. Previously, other major car manufacturers such as Mercedes, BMW, and Mitsubishi have also created designs for the project.
