A petition for a worldwide release of Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 has just been launched.
The Change.org comes after Team Ninja announced that Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 would only be released in Japan and the Asian Market. As the petition notes, there is a large amount of irony in this decision, because on the very day the announcement was made, A U.S. based player (MC Kwiggle) won the worldwide Dead or Alive Festival exhibition tournament in Japan.
This, according to the petition, is irrefutable proof that the series is extremely popular even in the west, which is why Team Ninja and Tecmo should be releasing the game worldwide.
According to this week’s edition of Japanese magazine Famitsu, the developers and publishers will consider a worldwide release of Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 if there is enough demand. Interestingly, the magazine only mentioned North America, though we do expect a release for Europe provided that the demanded popularity is met.
The announcement of Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 is only relatively fresh, which makes it somewhat surprising that a petition has been created so quickly. The game will be in development for PlayStation 4 and PS Vita.
