Bethesda’s Pete Hines has confirmed that the studio will not share anymore story details until the official release of Fallout 4.
Developers and publishers tend to share trailers, gameplay videos, and other information detailing tidbits about a game’s storyline. However, this is not how Bethesda wants to market the upcoming Fallout 4.
According to Hines, aside from what fans already know about the plot of the game, no other details will be disclosed until the official release of the game. Bethesda wants fans to discover as much of the storyline as possible on their own:
I would be really surprised if we told before the launch something about the history. We want everyone to experience as much as possible on your own. However, one must go to a certain degree of compromise in order to give an impression of what the game has to offer. Therefore, you have to be willing to take in this respect small sacrifices in buying.
In related Fallout 4 news, Bethesda has announced a weekly Fallout goodies giveaway which will continue to run until the game’s official release. To know more about the giveaway and to participate, head over to the post!
Fallout 4 is scheduled to release on Nov. 10, 2015 on PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One.
