Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Reckoning Coming to PS3, PS4 and PC in September

While Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare’s Reckoning DLC is available on Xbox One and Xbox 360 now, players on Playstation 4, Playstation 3, and PC are still waiting. It looks like we now have a release date for the DLC.

With the release date set for September 3, this will be the last big DLC release for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. This update includes 4 new multiplayer maps as well as the Exo Zombie content which is the finale, starring Bill Paxton, Rose McGowan, Jon Bernthal, Bruce Campbell, and John Malkovich.

As the Reckoning DLC is the last major slice of downloadable content before the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, Xbox users will have to get ready for a change to their early access privileges. Sony’s console get all content for Black Ops 3 early, with Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC owners having the wait before they can join in on the fun.

When the DLC rules change in favour of Sony, it will be interesting to see how gamers will react. While Playstation gamers will be happy with the change, I’m sure many Xbox players will be annoyed by the change. This is something that they’ll have to get used to though now the deal has been done.

Another issue this raises is if Sony exclusivity on early access is also a sign that the Playstation is now the favoured platform? This will remind people of Phil Spencer’s previous comments on third-party deals. Which is of course true, money is the deciding factor here, and that is a business decision.
