Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is featured in the latest issue of Dengeki this week, from where we have received new details regarding FOBs and leaderboards.
As revealed before, MGS V: The Phantom Pain will feature Forward Operating Bases. Players will be able to build their own and expand, and are also going to have the option to invade other players’ FOBs. According to new details provided by Dengeki, when a player’s invasion is successful, he will gain soldiers, items and money.
However, if he fails and the invaded player successfully defends, the invader will lose money, soldiers and items.
Similar will be the case if you are defending your base against an enemy player. If you manage to defend successfully, you’ll gain items, money and soldiers; but will lose those things upon failure.
Dengeki has also confirmed leaderboard for The Phantom Pain, but more details regarding that are yet to be revealed.
We’ll have more for you regarding the Phantom Pain in the near future.
Metal Gear Solid V is being developed by Kojima Productions using the Fox Engine. The same engine is being used for Pro Evolution Soccer 16 by Konami.
The Phantom Pain will release on Sept.1 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. You can see graphics comparison between consoles and PC, here.
