We have been hearing of it for a while but not with an official confirmation – until now. Rejoice Final Fantasy XV fans, you are all going to get the game on the same time through a simultaneous worldwide release.
The game director Hajime Tabata has been vocal about his wishes of a simultaneous releases previously too, and it was him who confirmed it too.
He added that they didn’t have the setup for a fully packaged simultaneous release of a Final Fantasy title which was embarrassing for them. However, all is well since they are doing it now.
This may be something that we are little bit embarrassed to talk about, but really, this is the first time that we’ve done a packaged, standalone Final Fantasy game with a simultaneous global launch, so we didn’t have the setup to deal with that, really. The first thing we had to do was rearrange our internal structure to create something that could do that. That was the first important work on the project.
As I said earlier, this is not the first time Tabata talked about it, back in January he said he wanted a simultaneous release for Final Fantasy XV. This was followed by another news in April suggesting that a simultaneous release was possible.
We’re glad it is now official that Final Fantasy XV will come out everywhere on one day – whenever it releases next year.
