Animoca Studios and AID Partners Capital Holdings have launched a brand new set of Paris Hilton merchandise for their popular celebrity-based Star Girl mobile game.
It’s another strain test on the gaming market by celebrity branding, but the strategy is a result of the game’s mighty success, which has seen users from all over the world download it around a total of 65 million times.
Star Girl is a Paris Hilton-based title where users engage in fashion role-playing, and adding new Paris Hilton branded merchandise would give them a chance to show off their exotics to others who play the game.
These merchandises are a part of the Paris Hilton Volume 1 – a collection of items inspired by Paris Hilton’s own choices. The entire package costs $5, and will have five dresses, a pair of sunglasses, and a combo of fishnet stockings and heels. The deal was carried out through Iconicfuture, a company that matches virtual goods and brands.
Star Girl is available for download on iOS, Android, and on Amazon. Despite being looked down upon by a vast majority, its immense popularity has triggered other celebrities such as Britney Spears to attempt launching their own version of celebrity-influenced titles.
