We know that over five million fans have made a strong statement in favor of how good a game Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is; and it looks like the same reason isn’t letting the developers let go off the Xbox One port idea.
Word has surfaced that apparently, Square Enix and Microsoft are still negotiating the possibility of bringing the game to Xbox One – something we have talked about more than once before.
It is all in good intentions too, because we know a number of Xbox One users who would love to be able to play the massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) on their console.
We know that Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is PC only but the Microsoft has announced cross platform game play now, which is something the game director and producer Naoki Yoshida wanted before developing the port.
On that topic, Yoshida has added that they are still in discussion with Microsoft and added that the cross platform game play targets Windows 10 specifically while their game runs on previous versions too. He also added that they weren’t sure how popular Windows 10 will get.
Also, you might get a port on Nintendo NX when it comes out given that Square Enix can be told the launch schedule of the console as well as Nintendo’s plans regarding cross platform game play.
So yeah, the Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn developers are probably a long way from done, yet.
