Well, I knew at some point we will get a remake of Final Fantasy XII, but I didn’t think that it could possibly happen at Gamescom.
According to a new announcement, made by Arnie Roth, who conducted the recently held Final Fantasy Distant Worlds concert in Pittsburgh, we will soon see Final Fantasy XII remake.
He bluntly used the word “remake,” but we are yet to hear a word from Square Enix officials. However, Roth’s announcement came at a very interesting time; well, Gamescom is kicking-off this week so…
Back at E3 Square Enix announced a remake for Final Fantasy VII. Both VII are XII are one of the most popular entries in the series, so this news is surely something to be excited about.
You can see a fan-captured video above, where Roth made the announcement and possibly ruining the surprise for Gamescom.
Square Enix has big plans for Final Fantasy at Gamescom, we are expecting to see Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae being played by different celebrities as part of a “Let’s Play” event.
Every day on the Final Fantasy XV Stage presents a different YouTube or Twitch personality doing a “Let’s Play” of Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae Version 2.0 with live commentary for the audience. Attendees will be able to meet real Final Fantasy experts and top stars at the Square Enix Stand, like Mit Gronkh, the PietSmiet team, Gregor of Rocketbeans TV, and HoneyballLP and Nino of NinotakuTV.
Hopefully, we will leave Gamescom with a release date for FFXV, in addition to Final Fantasy XII Remake announcement.
