Star Wars Battlefront will host some of the most intense battles between Rebels and Imperials. The game will feature a “Blast” team deathmatch mode, where 10v10 battles will take place.
Rebels will take on the Imperials in “Blast,” and the first team to reach 100 kills gets bragging rights. Blast will host 10-minute matches, by then whichever team is ahead, will win.
Blast will have a variety in gameplay and unpredictable nature of the opposing team. Levels featured in Blast also hold a great variety.
Lead Level Designer Dennis Brännvall tells us more about this game mode:
One battle you’ll be fighting within interior levels on Endor or Sullust. In the next battle, you might find yourselves among Tatooine’s dusty canyons, or inside the undeniably cool Ice Caves on Hoth. My favorite is the verticality of Tatooine, fighting by the Sandcrawler.
Maps featured in the Blast mode aren’t vast as you’ll see in some of the other game modes. They are specifically designed for dense close-quarters action, don’t consider them as smaller versions of other big maps.
Brännvall also explained how important pick-ups are:
Whether you pick up a Droid™ scanning for nearby enemies or a turret that’ll control a zone for you, the pickups can really turn the tide of a Blast match. They are not around every corner though, so keep your eyes peeled.
