Although Microsoft has allowed Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1 owners to upgrade to Windows 10 – for free – without losing any files, this type of installation sometimes lead to unwanted issues and errors. Luckily, there is way to do a clean install even after you have upgraded and it is absolutely free – read on to know how to:
Step #1
Press ‘Windows’ button on your keyboard and type in ‘Windows Update Settings’ followed by clicking the option at the top of the list under ‘Settings’

Once you are in the new menu, select ‘Recovery’ from the list on the left-hand side

Once inside the new menu, you need to select ‘Reset this PC’ and select the option which serves you the best
Do note that you can still keep some of your files – if you wish to do so – or perform a complete wipe and start anew.
