When the guts and gore of zombie battles starts to flow you would think that the last thing on gamers minds would be drinks and snacks, but it looks like Activision are hoping this is not the case. Prepare for the latest Doritos and Mountain Dew offer connected with Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.
While these style of offers have come with Call of Duty multiplayer before, this time it looks like the Zombies will be taking their turn to have double XP from purchases of the drink and chip choices. With the Zombies bringing old flesh back to life, Mountain Dew are also bringing old flavours back.
In early October in preparation for the game’s release in November, an old and new flavour will be released. Game Fuel Citrus Cherry and Game Fuel Berry Lime will be available along with the normal Mountain Dew flavours.
These drinks will also be joined by a series of Doritos flavours. Jacked Ranch Dipped Hot Wings and Jacked 3D Jalapeno Pepperjack. Whether these go well with the Mountain Dew flavours is another matter. Hopefully gamers trying these out won’t have any bad experiences from the strange mixture of flavours.
Promotions like this aren’t a new thing but they have had a controversial history when it comes to gaming. Looking past that history though when playing games, drinks like Mountain Dew, and Red Bull (who are doing a promotion with Destiny) are an obvious choice so it is understandable that these companies connect themselves with games like this. Same with Doritos.
What do you think of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 being connected with a snack and drink deal like this? Would the promise of double XP make you consider purchasing them? Let us now your thoughts below.
