CD Projekt Red have announced the final DLC for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and it will make a lot of people very happy. The only drawback is that it won’t be coming this week, but should be worth the wait.
Today The Witcher Twitter account posted the good news:
NG+, the final FREE DLC, is on the way! Stay tuned. Won’t happen this week – we need a bit more time to finish it. pic.twitter.com/jheuPi94wc

I speculated last week that this could be the final piece of downloadable content, but didn’t hold up much hope for it. This is a pleasant surprise, though some people may have been happier with some story driven content. There can’t be too many complaints about it finally coming in this form.
It will be interesting to see just how long it takes this patch to be released, and if it will make it to the consoles at the same time as the PC. If CD Projekt Red have been working on it for some time then maybe it will available fairly soon.
If it takes major changes to the game code it could be a risky process, plenty of testing will have to take place to protect the progress people have saved on the game.
If all of the hard work people have put into the game is suddenly corrupted in an attempt to add New Game + this will leave many unhappy gamers wishing that maybe the DLC was something as simple as new weapons or costumes instead.
