Rise of the Tomb Raider PC and PS4 Release Coming in 2016

Rise of the Tomb Raider is coming to Xbox One and Xbox 360 in November, but PS4 and PC owners have to wait till 2016 to get their hands on it.

When Rise of the Tomb Raider was first revealed the fact it was an Xbox Exclusive was not only surprising, but also not exactly true. What it was in fact was a timed exclusive, which still left us wanting to know when the game would come to other consoles and the PC.

With the release of Rise of the Tomb Raider coming to Xbox One and Xbox 360, November 10 there will be a wait before others can get to play it.

PC owners will be the first non-Xbox platform to get the game, the release for this is aimed at “Early 2016” to Steam and Windows 10. For Playstation 4 things get a little bit more complicated. Due to the console exclusivity with Xbox it won’t be released for a year, meaning the release has been set at “Holiday 2016.”

While this is good news for PC owners, this does leave Playstation 4 fans having a long wait. To be fair though we knew this was coming. At least now we have a set release window and can officially say that it is coming to the Playstation 4.

In the continuation of the story from the first game, Rise of the Tomb Raider will see Lara as more of a risk taker. Exploring treacherous and remote areas of Siberia she is in search of the secret of immortality, hopefully finding it before a ruthless organisation known as Trinity find it first.

With the demonstration at E3 being in 1080p, hopefully when it debuts on Xbox One in November it will be running at the same resolution for the lucky people who get to play it first.
