Ubisoft are pushing Assassin’s Creed Syndicate as a kind of redemption for the game series. With so much trust needed to be regained after the mess with Unity, Syndicate has something of an uphill struggle.
In a new video, actors Paul Amos and Victoria Atkin talk about their characters and their abilities. With differing styles, it is obvious that the twins bring something new to the game, especially with a new female character taking a lead role in the action.
The two actors talk about what makes their characters so special, as well as revealing some behind the scenes details. Giving a hint at the fun that can be had during motion capture sessions, it is interesting to know that even the actors working on game have to have stunt doubles.
They also show that they aren’t worried about taking on the physical side of being an Assassin, by running a course so that shows off some of their parkour skills.
Taking place in Victorian London a city full of history, there is potential for this to be one of the most successful games in the series. With the shambolic release of Unity, fans will be looking at Syndicate with a slightly hesitant expectation. Hopefully Ubisoft will learn from their mistakes and get this game right.
Unity was arguably one of the most disastrous of releases on modern consoles and the PC, with the game being one of the first to feel like a broken release. This is something that Assassin’s Creed Syndicate cannot afford to do.
