We are all pretty excited about the Call of Duty Black Ops 3 Zombies Mode based on what little information Treyarch has shared with us about it.
However, recently the developers sat down with Wil Wheaton in the third episode of Sony’s Conversations with Creators program and shed some more light on it.
So in their own words (and it is common knowledge too), the Zombies mode in the Call of Duty franchise exists solely because of the fans.
Mark Lamia started off by saying that I probably sohuldn’t even be here as the studio head because I led the creation of this mode at a time when no one would have approved of it in the studio since they were in a very difficult place at that time.
The idea behind this, in words of the developers, was that there should be a mode in the game that is just about defending where waves upon waves of enemies come at you – that alongside the notion that everyone loves to kill zombie Nazis.
Now in Black Ops 3 it is a legitimate pillar of the game on the whole and neither Treyarch nor the fans want to part with it.
There is a lot more about the origination and place of the Black Ops 3 Zombies mode in the video above so check it out and tell us what you think.
