Yesterday screen grabs revealed in game footage from Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection. Today we’ve been able to see the game in action in this new video showing off not only the graphics upgrade but also the fluidity of the action on the screen.
With the upgrade of the Playstation 3 versions of Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception to Playstation 4 one of the most important things for gamers is that they are able to see the difference between the originals and the remastered versions.
In this new video, which once again focuses on the second game, we see both the Playstation 3 and Playstation 4 gamplay side-by-side, which allow us to get a feel for just how much the game has improved.
As you can see in the video, especially if you turn up the quality to 1080p/60fps the speed and fluidity is there, and there is a visually noticeable change in details. Credit to the original game has to be given though as it does stand up quite well against its successor.
With Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End coming next year Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection’s October 9, 2015 release is timed to be the perfect chance for fans of the previous games to refresh their memories of the story.
From what we’ve seen in this video, I’m sure for some there is enough of an upgrade to catch fans interest. There will be a few people questioning if there is enough of an improvement, or should just dust off their Playstation 3 instead. Maybe for them, the invite to the beta for Uncharted 4 will be enough to entice them over to The Nathan Drake Collection.
