Players of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare can expect some new weapons to arrive July 21. Coming first to the Xbox One, they will then make their way to the Playstation 4 and PC at a later date.
The first weapon of the three is The Bunderbluss, which is similar to the M1 IRONS. Sledgehammer describe it as:
“…a short range shotgun that packs a punch. Delivering a great amount of damage up close in a wide spread, it has the drawback of a slow reload speed between the single shots. In the right hands, it can help players holding down objectives in Hardpoint or keep your team’s flag secure in Capture the Flag.”
The other two new weapons are the STG44 and SVO:
“The STG44, Known for its solid accuracy and manageable fire-rate, the STG44 works great for medium range combat situations.”
“The SVO is a semi-automatic Sniper Rifle with great accuracy the trade-off being increased recoil.”
All three of the new weapons have a number of variants, but while the Blunderbuss can be selected from the Shotguns Menu when the weapons are released, both the STG44 and SVO base weapons will only be unlocked when one of the their variants has been received in an Advanced Supply Drop or Supply Drop. The base weapon will then be available in Create a Class.
These weapons will be available only on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and the PC, not previous generation consoles.
It will be interesting to see what user feedback is to these new weapons and how well balanced they are for combat. I’m sure if they don’t live up to expectations we’ll be soon hearing about it from unhappy gamers.
