A number of key development studios made it to San Diego Comic Con this year and among them was Marvel Games with numerous details to share on their ongoing projects as well as future plans that they have for digital offerings as well as major titles.
We have good news for the fans if you wanted them to make more games of the consoles. Producer Mike Jones took the stage at the event and revealed that they were indeed working on making bigger and better console games.
He started off by explaining that they had strategized for the console market but understood that they took a little longer, hence the wait:
We are very much focused on what our console strategy will be for the future. Obviously console games take a lot longer to incubate, so that will be a slower process for us.
Moving on, Jones added that the development processes for such Marvel Games projects are going to be highly focused on quality and not quantity. Even then, he said that you should expect a numerous announcements in 2016:
We are very much taking a controlled, less-is-more, quality-focused, developer-focused strategy but it is very top of mind, and we’ll have a lot more announcements probably next year.
Near the end of his discussion he also mentioned the unannounced project that Marvel Games is working on in partnership with Telltale Games as an example of the upcoming console titles.
