At San Diego Comic-Con 2015, IGN had a chat with Capcom Director of Marketing and eSports, Matt Dahlgren and discussed the latest addition to Street Fighter V roster, Ken and his changed appearance.
During the interview, Dahlgren confirmed that Classic Costumes will make a return in the upcoming Street Fighter V and players will have the option of customizing their characters prior to a fight.
Here is what Dahlgren had to say on the matter:
“Of course! I mean, if you look at what happened with Street Fighter 4, there’s tons of variety in terms of costumes,” Dahlgren said. “We’ll definitely be doing that in the long run.”
While addressing the latest addition to the game’s roster and his completely revamped appearance, Dahlgren stated that players who wish to play with the Classic Ken will be able to do so in near future:
“Those that want a classic Ken, I’m sure it’ll be in the pipeline at some point.”
This is definitely good news for those who were not happy about Ken’s changed appearance.
Street Fighter V is scheduled to arrive sometime during 2016 as a console-exclusive on Playstation 4 and PC.
