With the release of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain getting every closer fans of are eagerly looking for any news on Metal Gear Online 3. Still shrouded in mystery it seems not much can be revealed, though a recent FAQ session on the MetalGearOnline Twitter page answered a few questions from fans.
The most important question answered has to be if the online part of the game is being released with the single-player, and the answer to that was yes. No new content will be shown at Gamescom, but this could change so we’ll have to keep an eye out or hints on that one.
On if there will be co-op missions included in the game, the answer to that one was simply no. A question was raised about survival and tournament modes; the answer given was that ideas are going into the game to make it “competitive.”
The maps for Metal Gear Solid Online 3 will be larger than in Metal Gear Online 2. Just how large they will be isn’t confirmed yet, but that is positive news at least.
What did seem to come across from most of the questions though was that what you see in action in the main single player game is brought across into the online, with a few differences for the changes in gameplay. You won’t have to complete the main game to be able to unlock online, so you can start playing each straight away.
When asked about DLC releases no information is available on that yet, so we’ll have to wait to find out what the pricing will be, and what we may get free.
