Fallout 4 is still some way off but plenty of people are still working on their Vaults in Fallout Shelter. Keeping their survivors happy and trying to keep the Vaults at full strength can be hard work. To add to the fun Bethesda have provided an update to add to the fun people are already having.
The first update to arrive for Fallout Shelter, Bethesda have provided a short list of features on their blog:
- Overseers are encouraged to record any bizarre dweller behavior with the new Photo Feature. Sharing with those outside your Vault is optional, and will not result in your replacement or termination.
- Vault air filters have been causing some mothers to not deliver babies and we understand this is causing long term discomfort. We have solved this (not the discomfort, the baby coming out part).
- We’ve also done general maintenance to improve sudden Vault shut down and removed some other pesky issues with the capacitors inside various aspects of the simulation.
A list written with obvious humour, the most interesting feature is the Photo Mode, which gives you the ability to share some of the weirder moments caught in the Vault. Whether these will be bugs or just amusing things the Vault dwellers are discovered doing, this should be interesting to see.
The second update is one to stop problems with mothers having issues delivering babies in the game. This sounds a worrying issue, so it’s good to see it fixed. In a world where the population is struggling to survive, having problems creating the next generation is particularly worrying.
With other general fixes like “sudden Vault shutdowns” being fixed, hopefully any bugs people have experienced will now have been found and erradicated.
Fallout Shelter is out on iOS devices now, with Android coming hopefully next month.
