We all know that DICE and Electronic Arts is focusing heavily on the multiplayer aspect of Star Wars Battlefront but the game is also going to have a singleplayer which, to be honest, wasn’t greatly discussed by the developers.
However, one of the developers has said that even in the singleplayer mode “the replay value [is going] to be very high.”
The Level Artist of Star Wars Battlefront at DICE, Daniel Cambrand, took to Reddit and answered a fan who, among many others, wanted to know more about the singleplayer mode of the game and the value that it is going to add to the game:
Personally I have found the replay value to be very high. We have had an internal competition at the office where we battled over a case of beer, who would get the best time on the Tatooine Mission that was shown on E3, and we have been playing that Mission over and over and over.
It is really fun, changing your tactics slightly every time and trying new ways, especially when you start to compare round time with your friends and colleagues.
The game is going to bring you a singleplayer mode that is going to be for solo play as well as co-op play where you will be playing alongside bots either online or offline.
After Patrick Bach, the general manager at DICE said that “single-player was never in the plan” and that “it was never the concept,” the comments from Cambrand come in very positive.
What do you think of the singleplayer element in Star Wars Battlefront?
