The upcoming Mass Effect: Andromeda is not going to be out until next year, but the hype is already building up with fans speculating in which direction the upcoming iteration will lead them.
The original Mass Effect trilogy is nothing short of impressive, but there is no denying that the fans were left disgruntled by the final installment’s ending.
With the new iteration in the works, many are hoping that BioWare will come up with a better narrative (especially on the conclusion) than what Mass Effect 3 ending offered. BioWare has thrown bits and pieces of information related to the upcoming Mass Effect: Andromeda, but nothing about the narrative.
For instance, we already know that we will be able to play with male or female protagonist, will be able to cruise around in Mako, and the game in no way is related to Commander Shepard since Andromeda is a new galaxy, though we did come across a fan-made speculative timeline linking the the original trilogy with the Mass Effect: Andromeda:
However, when one of the disgruntled by the ME3’s ending posed her concerns regarding a ‘happier ending’ to Senior Development Director for Mass Effect: Andromeda, Chris Wynn, he simply issued the statement:
“We will do what we can!”
While this is far from being reassuring at all, it does mean that BioWare realizes the mistakes made with ME3 and are working on making amendments.
Moreover, it seems highly unlikely that BioWare will conclude the game with a single installment and will probably work on sequels in which case the ending may be left hanging in the air.
Mass Effect: Andromeda is scheduled to arrive in Holidays 2016 for PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One.
