ReCore Trailer Credits a Nintendo First Party Developer Mistakenly
Okay so stuff like this doesn’t happen very often and when it does, it is really fun to see official content released by companies like Microsoft to make errors.
A video for ReCore was released by Xbox France that showed off the E3 footage of the game with a narration by the officials (thanks to this guy). If you watch it above, you will see that at one point the mistakenly credited a first party Nintendo for the development of the game.
We know that ReCore is being developed by Armature Studios but at the 2:29 marker in the video you will see the name of Retro Studio written where the name of the developer should be.
Retro Studios was founded in 1998 but since then they have not developed a single game for a non-Nintendo platform; fans would remember them for developing numerous Metroid Prime and Donkey Kong titles as well as Mario Kart 7.
The only connection between the two studios is that Armature Studios was founded by guys who had previously been Retro employees i.e. Mark Pacini, Todd Keller and Jack Matthews.
