Fans were disappointed after Ryu, Roy, and Lucas weren’t added to Super Smash Bros. due to fan votes in a ballot recently held.
The ballot was held back in April by Nintendo to allow fans to vote for their favorite fighters to be added to Super Smash Bros. via DLC.
While Ryu, Roy, and Lucas weren’t added to the game then, they will be soon. According to recent interview in Famitsu Magazine, director Masahiro Sakurai revealed that all three of these popular characters were in development long before the decision to allow fans to vote was made.
He also said that we can expect more DLC characters to be added to the game, up to the point where the team working on Super Smash Bros. is no longer together.
Super Smash Bros. is available on 3DS and Wii U, the game is among the most popular and best selling titles from Nintendo.
Nintendo will keep supporting the title with post-release DLC, so it is safe to say we will be busy with Smash Bros. for a while.
