Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth3: V Generation is now available for purchase on the PlayStation Vita, Sony has announced.
The remake of Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory, originally released on the PlayStation 3, features an improved RPG battle system, new scenarios, a streamlined UI, plenty of changes to dungeon maps, new crafting for special equipment, and more.
Players head into battles using four characters, all of whom can be paired with four other characters to allow for battle-swapping. It’s an important part of the game’s combat system. Pairing characters allows the player to unlock special bonuses, unique to the combination. Some will enhance your attacks, while others will bestow special high-damage dealing attack variants.
Additionally, the game’s attack system has also been improved. Players can now perform up to five attacks in a combo.
Sony pointed out that the remake sees to the return of the mini-game Stella’s Dungeon from Re;Birth2. In this, players equip Stella with armor and weapons and send her to climb a tower in a quest for more items. According to the publisher, it’s better than ever, and players will be able to have a friend tag alone.
NPCs found in these cities can be asked to join as companions on Stella’s quest. Each one will bring a unique set of skills to the battlefield.
