Rocksteady’s Batman: Arkham Knight has topped the UK sales charts, with launch week sales that are the highest of any of the Batman games.
Arkham Knight was released 6 days ago, and managed to surpass Arkham City’s sales. Arkham Knight launched on the flagship platforms PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, alongside the PC. The obvious reason could also be the fact that it had an early Tuesday launch as opposed to a Friday launch.
Arkahm Knight’s launch success wasn’t effected by its poor PC port, which was withdrawn just two days after launch due to terrible technical issues and bad optimization. This is primarily because the UK company Chart-Track does not take digital downloads into account when making the list.
Regardless, Arkham Knight is the biggest title in-terms of first-week sales so far this year, beating last month’s critically acclaimed The Witcher 3.
Lego Jurassic World came in second, while The Elder Scrolls online was on third.
Here’s the top ten in the UK sales chart:
- Batman: Arkham Knight
- Lego Jurassic World
- The Elder Scrolls Online
- Yoshi’s Woolly World
- The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
- Grand Theft Auto 5
- Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
