Ever since it was revealed that the Batman Arkham Knight PC version was outsourced to a team of just a little over 10 at Iron Galaxy, many are saying that the disaster was inevitable.
We have seen performance issues that turned it into a disappointment for PC gamers all over the globe; and while we tried on our own beside Rocksteady to cut down the issues, it appears the game is beyond simple recommendations that will fix everything up.
As a result, the developers and publishers have decided not to sell any more copies of Batman Arkham Knight PC version!
This was announced by the Warner Bros. Games community admin over at the official forums.
We want to apologize to those of you who are experiencing performance issues with Batman: Arkham Knight on PC. We take these issues very seriously and have therefore decided to suspend future game sales of the PC version while we work to address these issues to satisfy our quality standards. We greatly value our customers and know that while there are a significant amount of players who are enjoying the game on PC, we want to do whatever we can to make the experience better for PC players overall.
Rocksteady Studios apologized for the trouble, thanked for the support and even suggested that those who are unhappy with it can claim a refund from Steam.
They are, however, working on an “updated version” of Batman Arkham Knight PC iteration though it was not mentioned when we should expect the game to be finally fixed.
