Sony has finally announced a 1TB version of its PlayStation 4 and it’s coming our way starting July 15. The news comes from the latest post over at the PlayStation Blog.
Dubbed as PlayStation 4 Ultimate Player 1TB Edition, the new console version will be available in Europe and PAL territories next month.
Offering twice the storage of the existing PS4, you’ll be able to download more of the games you love to your PS4, extend your play with more great add-on content and save and share even more of your best gaming highlights.
Sony is a bit late to the party with its 1TB version but at least is has arrived. Players will be able to store more add-on content and more thanks to additional 500GB of space. It’s especially beneficial for those who prefer downloading digital games directly from the PlayStation Store.
While PS4 1TB is welcomed, it wasn’t really necessary for Sony to release a model with extra storage. Players who wanted more space always had the option of upgrading the HDD on their own.
The post didn’t mention any price point, but it shouldn’t be long before more details are shared with us.
