Previously, Bethesda Softworks stated that Fallout 4 would be running at 1080p and 30 frames-per-second. Without any clarification, everyone naturally took the studio’s word for all three platforms.
That didn’t sit well with the PC community. It’s understandable as well, since all the previous Fallout titles have not been locked to the damning 30 frames-per-second mark. Additionally, keeping in mind of the massive PC audience of Bethesda, it would be ludicrous to release Fallout 4 on PC with a locked frame rate.
After being constantly approached regarding this issue, Bethesda has come forward to assure everyone that the earlier statement was for consoles alone. Fallout 4 on PC will not be limited to any specific resolution or FPS.
“Fallout 4 is 1080p & 30fps on Xbox One and PS4,” reads a tweet from Bethesda Softworks. “Resolution and FPS are not limited in any way on the PC.”
With that, the balance of the universe has once again be restored.
Fallout 4 is scheduled for release on November 10 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
