PS4 exclusive RPG, Horizon Zero Dawn, will run in 1080p with 30 frames-per-second. This comes little after the news of Uncharted 4 also running at 30 frames with Full-HD resolutions, while multiplayer will hit 60.
Horizon was announced during Sony’s E3 press-conference and is an awesome new title, which asks you to hunt metal dinosaurs and other beasts with a bow and arrow.
The news of the game running at 30 frames-per-second was shared by developer Guerrilla Games, known for its work on PlayStation exclusive shooter Killzone.
It was also revealed that Horizon is developed on the same engine as Killzone: Shadow Fall, however, there is a massive leap from Shadow Fall to Horizon.
Killzone wasn’t an open-world game so the engine had to be modified according to the needs of the new RPG.
Art director Jan-Bart van Beek said:
It is actually still the same engine but then [there is] an enormous leap from Shadow Fall to this. The Shadow Fall engine isn’t an open-world streaming world engine so for the last two years a lot of technological effort has gone into actually being able to make it work like this.
Horizon Zero Dawn is heading to PlayStation 4 sometime in 2016. You can check out the gameplay for Horzion below:
