Earlier this week, Microsoft surprised everyone by announcing a backwards compatibility feature for the Xbox One which will allow players to play their Xbox 360 purchases from last-gen on the newer console.
However, not every title on the Xbox 360 will be taking advantage of this feature. Microsoft will be selecting games from the wide catalog and making them backwards compatible with the Xbox One.
A long list of titles have already been announced, and are currently available in testing for Xbox preview members. This list includes the likes of Mass Effect, Super Meat Boy, Rainbow Six: Vegas and Vegas 2.
The company now wants your input on what ‘other’ titles you want to see make it over to the Xbox One. A new survey, which went live yesterday, asks you to cast your vote. As of now, the community has made itself heard the loudest for Red Dead Redemption, Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Skyrim, Halo: Reach, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Gears of War 3, Call of Duty: Black Ops, Fallout 3, and Mass Effect 3.
I believe this is an excellent step from Microsoft, where we see it continue to involve the community for value feedback. This survey will help the company know exactly where the priorities should lie and what games demand to be made backwards compatible as fast as possible.
