Square Enix has made a lot of announcements at their E3 2015 press conference, and among them was the new Star Ocean title, the series that originally debuted in 1996 with a game with the same name that was developed by tri-Ace.
It was rumored back in May that the game could get an official reveal at the event and apparently the speculations were true.
However, the game simply called Star Ocean – nothing else – and it is being developed for PlayStation 4. According to the details that have been shared with us so far, it is going to be released in the North American and European regions too, sometime in 2016.
The developers are boasting of bringing you an old school Japanese roleplaying game where seamless experience is going to be the highlight of the experience.
We don’t know the exact release date of Star Ocean, but we do know what the game looks like. Check back with us later for more information on the gameplay and features – we will be writing more on the game as soon as the developers share more details.
Have you played any of the previous games in the series? Do you think you will purchase the new Star Ocean title when it releases in the west?
