SWTOR: Knights of the Fallen Empire Introduces a Story of Twin Brothers

By   /   Jun 15, 2015

Knights of the Fallen Empire is the next major expansion pack for Star Wars: The Old Republic, EA announced during its E3 2015 press briefing.

A gorgeous CG trailer gave us the story of two twin brothers, who since birth have been training to be great warriors under the guidance of a severely demanding father. With battle scars, and hate in their hearts, the now adult warriors finally end up turning on each other.

There was no gameplay shown, and yet the story trailer reeled us in nonetheless.

The story-driven expansion is going to be free for all subscribers and will give players the option to immediately start a Level 60 character. The Old Republic’s level cap will also be raised to 65.

Surprisingly, Knights of the Fallen Empire is going to be an episodic adventure, with nine episodes already in the pipelines and more promised to arrive later on.

The largest story-driven expansion to date, Knights of the Fallen Empire, marks a renewed focus on cinematic storytelling in Star Wars: The Old Republic. The expansion will deliver on the hallmarks of what makes a great BioWareâ„¢ game: new worlds to explore, new companions to recruit, and a dynamic story that players will be able to shape based on the choices they make.

SWTOR: Knights of the Fallen Empire is scheduled for a release on October 27. More details will arrive later.
