After holding their first-ever E3 press conference today, Bethesda once again appeared at Microsoft’s E3 2015 Press Conference to show viewers more of the upcoming Fallout 4.
One of the biggest Fallout 4 news during Microsoft’s Press Conference was the freedom of transferring PC mods to Xbox One.
However, speaking of the mod support on Xbox One, Bethesda Game Director, Todd Howard confirmed that the mod support on Xbox One will not be available upon the game’s launch.
In an interview with Geoff Keighley, Howard confirmed that the mod support for Xbox One will arrive sometime during Early 2016 and not upon the game’s official launch in November 2016.
Continuing, Howard also stated that the studio wishes to provide the community with the freedom to create whatever they want and not limit them in any way.
So in case you were rooting for mod support for Fallout 4 upon launch, it seems like you will have to wait a bit longer.
Fallout 4 is scheduled to arrive on Nov. 10, 2015 for PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One. As for previous-gen consoles, Bethesda has confirmed that the game will never release on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 due to hardware limitations imposed by those consoles.
