Ubisoft’s CEO initiated the company’s E3 2015 Press Conference with a new IP in a supposedly new genre.
The new project dubbed For Honor received an initial CGI trailer treatment followed by a detailed gameplay demonstration.
The game appears to set in a Medieval era and is a brutal Melee Combat game played in third-person perspective and pits 4 players against each other:
“A competitive third-person melee game mixing speed, strategy, and team play with visceral close range combat. The innovative Art of Battle system lets you feel the power of every strike, the strength of every impact, and the weight of the weapon in your hand.”
Players can dive into the battlefield by choosing their hero from three Legendary Factions called The Chosen, The Legions, and The Warborn.
You can check out the gameplay demonstration attached above for the first-look at the game and further information!
Lastly, the Creative Director also announced that players can dive in and start playing the game from tomorrow noon on consoles (Playstation 4 and Xbox One) in the shape of a limited demo – there was no mention of a PC demo.
For Honor is being developed by Ubisoft Montreal and is scheduled to arrive sometime during 2016 for PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One.
