Apparently, there’s a mystery-man in Bromley, London who has decided to serve justice the Batman way. This isn’t actually a joke – the man has saved at least two people from muggings and has been spotted by many bystanders in London.
According to reports from British online news publication The Standard, this vigilante managed to save a businessman from thugs looking to rob him at knife-point.
“I thought I was quite literally done for. Then, out of nowhere, a man about 6ft tall, dressed in black combat-style trousers and a tight muscle top, and wearing a black bandana mask, came running towards them.
He kicked the biggest of my attackers to the ground, which must have knocked the wind out of him. Then he grabbed one of the others and swung him into the other one, and pushed them both into a prickly hedge. They were both screaming in pain.”
In addition to this businessman, he also appears to have helped a lady four months ago by preventing a thief from taking her purse. According to the woman, he tripped the robber and returned the purse to her, telling her to ‘make sure this doesn’t happen again’.
A third witness also suggests that the same masked vigilante intervened in a fight one night a few weeks ago.
“He grabbed one of them, attacking him, and put some kind of ninja lock on him. He pushed him while twisting this geezer’s arm into the other fella.”
This Bromley Batman seems to have the moves.
While publishing this, I can’t help but come up with a wild theory that this could be a way to advertise Rocksteady’s upcoming Batman: Arkham Knight title. Of course, it’s a far-fetched idea, and probably one that comes only to amuse oneself. I’d love to meet this guy’s butler, though.
