Metal Gear Solid V and Konami has been the topic of hot debate for over the past month or so. We have more on the topic and what you are about to know may not please you.
It seems Konami has decided to add microtransactions in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. The news came from the Italian PlayStation Store pre-order page for The Phantom Pain. You can see an image taken from the store below:
The good news is that these microtransactions are completely optional, if the writing from the image is to be believed.
In Metal Gear Solid V, players have the option to upgrade and build their own mother base, the way they want it to be. These microtransactions seems to be related to that. However, this is just my own assumption.
Konami on the other hand is yet to comment on this but they likely will, as fans may raise their concerns over this and demand an explanation regarding how these microtransactions are being implemented.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is slated for a September 1 release on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
On a related note, Konami has announced a custom PlayStation 4 Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain bundle for Europe. The 500GB console will have deep red plating and gold line detail, inspired by Biss Boss’ metal arm. For more on this, head over here.
