Xbox One 1TB Announced, Shipping Starts On June 16

Update: Amazon has started taking pre-orders for the new Xbox One 1TB, you can order a unit for yourself here. It also features a copy of Halo: The Master Chief Collection.

Original Story: Finally, we have a 1TB standard version of a current-gen console. Microsoft is the first to announce it and we couldn’t be happier to look at an upgraded version of the Xbox One.

The news was shared by our very own Major Nelson, who also did an unboxing video for the new console model. Xbox One 1TB not only comes with more storage space, but many new adjustments have been made to the Xbox One controller.

The new controller now features a 3.5mm stereo headset jack, similar to the one we saw in PlayStation 4. Major Nelson wrote in a post:

The new Xbox One Wireless Controller now features a 3.5mm stereo jack that lets you plug a headset right into the controller. You’ll have the option to adjust headset volume, mic monitoring, and voice and game audio balance through the Settings menu on your console. In addition to audio improvements, we’ve fine-tuned the bumpers and enabled wireless firmware updates on the updated controller which eliminates having to connect the controller via USB cable to receive updates.

The new controller will also be available separately, while the Xbox One 1TB will come bundled with Halo: The Master Chief Collection in select regions.

As for the price, the controller and the Xbox One 1TB are priced at $64.99 and $399.99 respectively. For more details, visit Major Nelson’s official website.
