A recent tweet by a voice actor suggests that Ubisoft may be on the verge of announcing a new Prince of Persia game at E3 2015.
“Looking forward to it! #PrinceOfPersia and #georgewashington will be there,” tweeted Robin Atkin Downes announced on twitter the other day.
Downes has previously voiced the Prince in the 2004 action-adventure, Prince of Persia: Warrior Within. In addition to that, he has also given his voice in multiple video games, including King Radovid V in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and King George Washington in Assassin’s Creed III: The Tyranny of King Washington.
It’s been a long time since we have had our hands on a proper Prince of Persia game. The last title in the series was Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, released in 2010. Since then, Ubisoft has pretty much given its focus to the Assassin’s Creed franchise.
If the company does indeed announced a new Prince of Persia game at E3 2015, I for one wouldn’t mind to see at least a trilogy for the coming years. It would be a break from Ubisoft’s usual offerings and be in good taste.
Earlier this month, Ubisoft teased that it had announcements for new games scheduled for its E3 2015 press briefing. The world wouldn’t mind hearing about a current-gen Prince of Persia title.
