Deus Ex: Mankind Divided was announced just a couple of weeks ago and will carry on the story of Adam Jensen. The game was announced via a trailer that was action-packed and showed Jensen engaging in a number of heated encounters.
While that footage gave action lovers exactly what they wanted from Deus Ex, others were worried that Eidos Montreal might take the game away from its roots and cut-down on its stealth and RPG elements. In short, too much action is bad for Deus Ex.
However, this isn’t the case and executive director Jean-François Dugas has assured fans that Mankind Divided features the same amount of action as 2011’s Human Revolution.
Dugas says there will be a healthy and balanced mix of action, stealth and RPG elements in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.
If you look at the trailer for Mankind Divided, then it shows a lot more action than in Human Revolution. Some people think now, ‘Oh my God, the Action is totally at the center’ But that’s not true -. there will be just as much action as in Human Revolution.
Moving away from the core idea often ends badly, we have seen Capcom trying to change the way Resident Evil plays, and the end result was a fan backlash, and a couple of mediocre games.
It’s good know Eidos won’t be trying something similar with Mankind Divided.
Mankind Divided is announced for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. There is no release date for it at the moment, but news is expected at E3.
