Warner Bros. stated in a press-release:
With a month remaining before the July 11 ESL Mortal Kombat X Worldwide Competitive Program finals, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment is doubling its commitment to the prize pool and raising it to $100,000 USD.
Mortal Kombat X competitive finals are slated for July 11, and instead of $50,000, participants have a chance to win $100,000.
This increase in prize pool is all thanks to Mortal Kombat X Blue Steel” Sub-Zero skin, which old for $1.99. Proceeds have contributed to the overall prize pool of the event.
