Capcom will hold a closed beta for its action-RPG game Dragon’s Dogma Online in July, the firm has announced.
The closed beta will begin on July 7, and will last till July 15. Dragon’s Dogma Online had an alpha test that was PlayStation 3 exclusive, but the closed beta is available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PC.
The signup dates for the three platforms are also different. PlayStation 4 users who are interested in testing the closed beta can sign up June 8 and 14 through a PlayStation store download ticket.
PlayStation 3 and PC users can sign up between June 15 & 30, with the PC users being able to sign up through the game’s official website.
Closed Beta testers will receive special access to a unique weapon called the ‘Offering Cain’, which can be used by the Priest class.
The original Dragon’s Dogma was originally released in May 2012, and had mixed reviews and feedback. Capcom announced in January that sequel in the form of Dragon’s Dogma Online will be released as a free-to-play title on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PC.
The game is expected to launch this year in Japan, while the western release windows are currently unknown. Dragon’s Dogma Online will support cross-platform play among all three platforms of the game.
