UK retailer ShopTo has opened up pre-orders for Bethesda’s upcoming post-apocalyptic RPG, Fallout 4.
The game was announced just yesterday by the developer for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. However, the UK retailer is the first one to begin taking pre-orders. There’s still no telling when the game releases though. If we’re very lucky, Bethesda will announce Fallout 4 at E3 2015 to release this holiday season.
Both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions can be purchased from the retailer’s website for £39.85 each. The PC version, though, is cheaper by £2 and can be bought for £37.85.
The site’s listing does not mention any pre-order bonuses. These will probably be updated afterwards, once Bethesda is done unveiling the game at the expo in a couple of weeks.
Yesterday, we were treated to the first trailer for the game. It also put down previous rumors that Fallout 4 would be a cross-gen title. Unless Bethesda plans to bring forth ports for the last-gen consoles on a later date, the game will be available only on the current-gen machines and PC.
Fans of the series have been waiting for Fallout 4’s announcement for quite a while now. This is truly the year for RPG lovers. Not only did we get to enjoy the breathtaking The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, we can now get ready for Fallout 4 as well.
Update: Following ShopTo, plenty of other retailers have also opened up pre-orders for Fallout 4. This includes Amazon, GreenManGaming, and Bethesda’s own official store. Each of them has tagged the game with a “TBA 2015” release date, signifying that Fallout 4 will indeed launch later this year.
