Square Enix recently unveiled a list of video games it plans to release for the current fiscal year which does not include the highly anticipated role-playing game, Final Fantasy XV.
Speaking of it in a report, the company issued the following statement:
“We expect the competitive environment to be tough, with our competitors announcing big titles in the E3 in June. We believe our titles can fully compete with these big titles, however, as I will explain later, we have been conservative in our forecast for FY2016/3.”
Note that the currently shared releases span from April 2015 to March 2016 which means that a concrete release date for Final Fantasy XV is yet to be determined. However, according to the Game Director Hajime Tabata, the game has reached 60% completion.
Square Enix will share more updated information in its next Active Time Report which is scheduled to release on Jun. 4, 2015 which will be presented by Hajime Tabata and Marketing Manager Akio Ofuji. The event will kick off on 06:00 AM PDT and will be broadcasted live via YouTube and Twitch.
The company is also confirmed to make an appearance at the Electronic Entertainment Expo on Jun. 16, 2015 but we are not sure whether Final Fantasy XV will make an appearance at E3 2015 or not.
