Namco Bandai will have fans hyperventilating at E3 2015 when it announces Dark Souls 3, claims a report by VG247.
According to sources close to the matter, the report suggests that the game will be headed up by Hidetaka Miyazaki, the director of the original Dark Souls, Demon’s Souls, and the recently released, Bloodborne. On Dark Souls 2, Miyazaki acted as the supervisor, while the direction was handed over to Tomohiro Shibuya and Yui Tanimura.
All of these games have been received warmly by both critics and fans. If Miyazaki is really returning to the drawing board with a sequel to the Dark Souls series, you can bet that pre-orders will start lining up as soon as they are opened.
If there is any legitimacy to the rumor, Dark Souls 3 will be announced during Sony’s press conference on June 16. The source didn’t mention whether like Bloodborne, Dark Souls 3 will be kept as a PlayStation 4 exclusive, or will it be released on multiple platforms.
As of yet, Namco Bandai has not commented on the rumor.
E3 2015 is going to take place from June 16 to 18 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
